About Porchfest

Porchfest is a free festival of performances on porches, driveways and public spaces in the McLoughlin neighborhood of Oregon City.

People are encouraged to walk or bike the neighborhood, meet their neighbors, and share their talents with the community. Anyone with a performing talent – singers, guitar players, youth performers and dancers – is invited to participate by performing from their porch, driveway or front yard.

Porchfest is a popular event held in many communities across Oregon, the United States, and even worldwide.  Porchfest returns to Oregon City for its second year in 2024!

Dogs and kids are welcome!

FAQs

Anyone can participate in Porchfest!  We need performers and porches!
I have a porch
I’m a performer
I have a porch and a performer

We will touch base with you and then add your information to our map of locations. About a week before your concert or show, volunteers will drop off a Porchfest yard sign and door hangers so you can let your neighbors know about your upcoming performance.

Do you have a talent you’d like to perform for your neighbors?  Music, theater, spoken word, mime – the sky is the limit.  Please let us know and we will add you to the map.  Let us know what kind of performance and the location.  A specific address or cross streets are fine.  This year we are limiting performances to the McLoughlin neighborhood.  Businesses are encouraged to host performances as well!  If you don’t have a location, that’s ok!  We will find a porch for your performance!

Yes! We have various public spaces where we can place performers. We also have neighbors who have volunteered their porches for other artists. Contact us so we can find a place for you.

Some performers don’t have a porch.  If you live in the McLoughlin neighborhood, and you have a porch, patio, driveway, side yard, or other great spot that can be seen from the street or sidewalk, we can connect you with a performer.  We are happy to play matchmaker and find a porch for every performer and a performer for every porch!  Let us know if your performance area is covered and if performers will have access to electrical outlets.

Porchfest needs you!  There are many odds and ends to do that we need help with.  Dropping off and picking up signs, and putting up flyers just to name a few.  Email us at oregoncityporchfest@gmail.com and let us know that you are willing to help out.

Porchfest is made possible by donations and sponsorships!  Porchfest is a non-profit organization so donations are tax deductible. Individual donations can be made via Venmo to @ocporchfest. To sponsor this year’s porchfest fill out the Sponsor Survey, or email us at oregoncityporchfest@gmail.com

Our performers are volunteers! Artists are encouraged to share their Cashapp or Venmo handles (or an old-fashioned tip jar) to receive gratuity, and are also invited to sell music and merch at their events
